Synthrapol® is an industrial strength, pH neutral, liquid detergent used as a prewash and afterwash for dyed or painted fabrics and as a wetting agent for fabric dyes and paints. Synthrapol® has the unique property of keeping loose dye suspended during washing, thus preventing backstaining while aiding in the removal of excess color. Prewash: Prewashing fabric with Synthrapol® to remove oils, waxes, starches and sizings helps ensure an even dye job and reduces the risk of blotchy color. Directions: Add 3 tablespoons/44 ml Synthrapol per 8 lb/3.63 kg washing load. For cotton and other cellulose fibers, add 2 tablespoons/30 g soda ash. Wash for at least 10 minutes using hot water and then rinse thoroughly.
